Christmastime is the time of giving. But this is true only if you have a big heart!

CrossFit Wuppertal in Wuppertal, Germany has just proven that they have a big, big heart. A few days before Christmas they started foundraising for Maria Cristina Foundation. The target was to collect as much as possible in order to support the education of the children from slums of Dhaka in Bangladesh.

Two days ago they finished with great success. In total they collected 757,50 Euros.

Mara, Julian, Sofija and me visited them on December 29th for the closing of this great initiative. We added 400 Euros so that there are now 1157,50 Euro which will be used to pay school fees in Dhaka.

Around middle of February Mara and me will travel to Dhaka and we will bring these founds directly to the school.

We are very happy about this small but very successful project. We see the reached target not as the payment of school fees but as hope and future for some of the children. Can you imagine how hard it would be to tell some of the children that they can’t go to school anymore as there are not enough founds to pay the fees and that they have to go to work instead? Thanks for this great initiative of CrossFit Wuppertal – for some children this will not happen for now – for sure.
