Trip to Kaskura Nodi
Our plan for today was to continue the distribution of the presents and rewards. We started in the morning, but unfortunately, due to the Eid Holidays, we were not able to distribute everything today. So Jewel, who is managing everything in Dhaka for the Maria Cristina Foundation, will continue the distribution as soon as the children are back from the villages.
Some of the subjects that we planned to photograph today were the pharmacy, cooking, children playing, dentist and fishermen.
For the dentist, Jewel organized that the local dentist would open his clinic just for us, to take photos. For the pictures of the fishermen, we decided to go to Kaskura Nodi (Kaskura River).
Before we left to visit the dentist, we told the kids in the Gawair Slum, that we wanted to go there.
Suddenly several people and children asked us if they could join us.
We learned that some of them never even left the slum in their whole life.
We took several tuck-tucks and we went to the Kaskura Nodi.
We had ice cream and we had snacks in the restaurant.
Then we took a boat and drove over the Kaskura river.
And we got nice fishermen photos too ☺
As we were back in the Hotel, we didn’t have the pictures of the dentist, but we were glad that we made several people and children very happy with this small trip to the Kaskura Nodi.
