Eid Mubarak

Today is Eid and the whole city is very festive. People are spending time with families and friends. And even if you are in the city for the first time, you will not feel like you are foreign. So many people invited us to visit them for lunch, snacks or dinner. And we wished we could visit all of them.

Although it is Eid we had to work. We visited loads of homes and places around the slums, just in order to find motives for the exhibition. We were quite successful, but it was very difficult to take photos, as it was raining almost all the time.

Subjects that we got are stray dogs, washing of clothes, housing, supermarket, rickshaw drivers and some more.

When we were searching for the motives for the exhibition we visited the area, were the rickshaw drivers rest, repair their rickshaws and where they live. Most of them are coming from far a way. They left the families and came in to the big city to work. They work almost every day and almost the whole day. They sleep and eat near to their own rickshaws.

Visiting them was a very intensive experience.

Today we managed to get all the missing products and so we could start the distribution.
    Tomorrow we will continue.
